My name is Beverley Mayers and I live in Macclesfield. I am a fully CRB checked teacher of piano, clarinet and music theory and I travel to the homes of my pupils to provide lessons.
I have taught the piano and clarinet over the past 20 years, and I am also a qualified primary school teacher, having taught across the primary age range in a Wilmslow primary school for over 17 years. I believe that this experience provides me with the range of teaching techniques required to release the potential within each pupil.
One of the most important aspects of learning how to play an instrument is that pupils are enthusiastic about their learning, whether this is achieved by studying for exams, or by learning to play the music that they enjoy. My aim is to provide the individualised approach which enables this to take place.
